Rabbi Elana Perry
Chief Program Officer
Rabbi Elana Perry is JKG’s new Chief Program Officer, leading JKG’s full program ecosystem that drives joyful, immersive Jewish learning across local and national sites. In this role, she manages JKG’s entire program portfolio, including Atlanta-based programs, Education Department, and national programs. She provides strategic leadership across these interconnected areas, strengthening program quality, supporting staff and educators, and helping JKG’s local and national work learn from and enrich one another. A seasoned rabbinic and educational leader, Elana brings experience building collaborative networks, designing high‑impact professional development, and scaling creative initiatives.
Prior to joining JKG, Elana served as Vice President of Jewish Education at Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, where she oversaw a broad education portfolio spanning supplemental Jewish education, day schools, and early childhood, and supported a robust network of 20+ education directors. She has also held senior roles in family education and experiential learning, and enjoyed nearly a decade as a congregational rabbi. She brings warmth, clarity, and a people‑first leadership style to all her professional endeavors.
Elana has also participated in a variety of professional development programs, including the M² Institute’s Senior Educator Cohort in Experiential Jewish Education and the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute, an intensive program focused on the professional development of Jewish educators.
Elana is married to Craig Perry, and lives in Decatur with their two teenage children, Lilah and Asher, and their dog, Parker.
