  • Hearing about the history of Rosh Hashanah customs and how they’ve changed over time, seeing pictures of how Rosh Hashanah is celebrated around the world today, and discussing how we celebrate this holiday. 

  • Journaling on Yom Kippur Introspection pages. 

  • Learning about the months of the Hebrew calendar, and discovering when our Hebrew birthdays are. 

  • Discussing the differences between solar calendars (like our Gregorian one) and lunar calendars (like the Hebrew one), learning about their history.

  • Learning what Rosh Chodesh is and its importance to the Hebrew calendar.

  • Having a mock “tashlich” service, which involves throwing away wrong deeds into a body of water.

  • Building a tower together with our friends to represent how we can build each other up in the new year by doing good deeds and being nice to each other.
