Katie is an experienced multimedia storyteller, writer, and social media innovator. She manages JKG’s growing marketing efforts, including building community engagement through social media management and event coordination. Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication with a minor in Digital Media at Georgia College where her love for supporting local and impactful nonprofit work flourished. Through managing digital marketing for a student run music festival called Sounds of the South, she helped bring students, local businesses, and music from across the Southeast together to explore connections in the small college town of Milledgeville, GA in efforts to raise money for the Central State Hospital Local Redevelopment Authority nonprofit.
Growing up originally in Marietta, Katie now calls Atlanta home, enjoying Piedmont Park as her backyard while exploring the vast diversity of ITP neighborhoods through music, shopping small, and her passion project Sad Girl Collective, a community-based arts publication she co-founded with two of her college friends. Through Sad Girl Collective, Katie continues to invest her time to highlight the community of Atlanta through online features and events coordination to promote local businesses, makers and everything in between the DIY scene. She combines this love of marketing through her work with JKG.
Outside of JKG, Katie enjoys attending concerts and festivals, exploring hiking destinations, and support all things local. She can be reached at email@example.com
