Jewish Kids Groups is a re-imagined, re-invented and ridiculously cool new educational model, and we are ready hire an awesome Engagement Coordinator.
In this role -- which is ideal for a fast-paced innovator -- you’ll work closely with our COO + ED (two energetic, dynamic leaders themselves) to support us in reaching our strategic goal to deepen impact for our students and families. Your role will be to create short and long-term plans focused on family engagement, holiday events, creating and supporting new extension programming to extend Jewish learning beyond the classroom, and more.

The Engagement Coordinator will:
- Parent Associations: Build and support a network of Parent Associations to support annual holiday programming, parent social events, and fundraising
- Milestone Experiences: Create grade-specific milestone experiences for JKG students, such as field trips, Shabbatons, and community service opportunities
- Holiday Events Calendar: Develop an annual holiday events calendar with a focus on on creating a replicable plan for Jewish holiday events across all sites; cultivate relationships with vendors for specific events and programs
- Parent Communication Strategy: Assess and improve our current parent-communication strategy in order to better provide parents a window into their child’s classrooms, including supplementary at-home teaching tools
- Liaison Families: Position JKG as a liaison for JKG families, introducing them to other Jewish organizations and collaborative partners such as Jewish summer camps, PJ Library, etc.
- Extension Programming: Grow extension programming beyond the classroom in order to create more impact hours for JKG students
- Volunteerism: Manage our growing cohort of JKG volunteers, including parents and other members of the community

- A record of success: Two different Sunday sites in Atlanta, plus a one-of-a-kind full-service afterschool program, serving 200 students total
- A strategic plan: Our goal is to establish 10 new Sunday sites throughout the greater Atlanta area and serve 1,400 students
- An active and engaged Board of Directors: Our board includes seasoned entrepreneurs, Jewish professionals, business leaders and educators

And you have:
- A Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years relevant experience preferred in project and/or event management and coordination
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- The drive and energy to work in a fast-paced, innovation-centered, entrepreneurial setting
- An eagerness to “think outside the sukkah,” embracing the spirit of JKG’s “ridiculously cool” culture by taking risks and pushing the envelope
- Passion for JKG’s vision and a love for Jewish culture
Additional Details
- Compensation commensurate with experience
- Part-full time, flexible
