Shabbat Shalom! We've continued our lessons on Passover this week. Our JKG students are becoming very well versed in Exodus storytelling through use of science experiments, lego challenges, and wild games of dodgeball! Check out our recent adventures below!
Two students build scenes from the Passover story, a burning bush and the parting of the Red Sea. "Make sure to tell them there's a dead fish in the sea," they said. Details are everything!
Parting of the Red Sea Science Project: Students created their own Moses puppets to test how dish soap has the ability to separate different substances in water. If you want to try it at home: fill a small bowl with water and sprinkle black pepper just enough to cover the surface of the water, place a small drop of dish soap on the edge of your popsicle stick and lightly touch it to the surface--the pepper layer will separate revealing a path a clean water in your bowl!
Ten Plagues Dodgeball! Each ball represents a different plague--if you forget to call one, you're out!
