Thank you to everyone who participated in the drive for Rebecca's Tent. We collected a ton of paper goods and everyone at the shelter was very grateful.

kESHER LETTER WRITING
During the second week of our two week unit on Israel we were busy reading letters from our Israeli pen pals and writing letters back. One peula (activity) per day is dedicated to letter writing so students have plenty of time to craft thoughtful letters. Keep reading for more peulot (activities) offered last week.
Bring it home: Ask your child about his or her pen pal. What is the pen pal's name? What school does he or she attend? Does she have siblings? Pets?
Go Deeper: What do JKG students have in common with our pen pals in Israel? What is different?
So many peulot, so little time
some of our favorite peulot (activities ) from last week:
Habitats of Israel Map Students learn about the different habitats inside Israel, the characteristics of each, and which animals live in certain environments. Everyone worked together to create a big collaborative map of Israel, using different materials to identify habitats.
Israeli Salad Students worked hard to make a delicious Israeli salad for friends to enjoy during second nishnushim (snack).
Bring it home: Teach your child to make a special, family recipe or try making Israeli salad like this one from Kveller.com.
